Hey y'all,
Until recently, my entire family was quarantined at home due to the pandemic.
During this time, I learnt something truly profound, i.e. that life is all about HOPE and LOVE. Let me explain.
As social beings, we LOVE being part of a community - from the clan in our households, to the neighbors in our cul-de-sac, to the gatherings at the mom-and-pop store or local bar on the street corner, to our church congregations, right up to the community of nations in the United Nations General Assembly.
There's only one way for these communities to survive a global catastrophe like COVID-19.
Therefore, for the sake of the community spirit that we hold so dear, we HOPE that the entire membership will come together to help each other through the pitfalls. And so, we lead individually by example.

Some of us want a life partner.
We enter adulthood LOVING the idea of replacing the security of our childhood home with that of a committed relationship where each party gives as much of themself, their means and their unconditional love and compassion as they receive - till death do they part.
That's why people like us search relentlessly, HOPING to find that one special person who can engender that level of overall fulfillment and happiness in us.

Also, many of us want to become parents.
We seek to reproduce because we LOVE the idea of placing more than financial emphasis on our achievements... we LOVE to add meaning and substance to our lives, and perhaps to leave a little piece of ourselves behind at the end of it all.
Some future parents also LOVE the notion of making a difference in this world by creating or nurturing someone that could potentially make a monumental contribution to humanity, in a way that could perhaps compensate for the compromises they've personally had to make in their own lives.
But in order to realize these dreams, parents must invest their HOPE in their kids' health, education, upbringing and general life choices.
We also LOVE our kids to death, and HOPE to have that affection returned to us by being the best nurturers, teachers, role models and providers humanly possible.

Those who don't want kids often adopt animals. They LOVE the idea of benefiting from unwavering loyalty and constant companionship.
It's no wonder, then, that they invest heavily in giving their pets the best food, shelter, toys, health care, grooming and even clothes, HOPING to extend their limited lifespans as much as possible.

Finally, we all LOVE to be appreciated and valued for the work that we do.
So we turn up every day, roll our sleeves up, work our butts off, try our best to keep our boss and/or customers happy and take advantage of any job-related training opportunities in the HOPE of being recognized, rewarded, promoted or given a raise.
Note that this scenario can also be applied to SAHM's/SAHD's, but their life partners and kids would be their customers, not their bosses. Just clarifying that for ya ;)

The examples are endless, so by now I'm sure that you see what I mean: life is about HOPE and LOVE!
COVID has brought despair, isolation, fear, unemployment, economic recession and even death to the entire world.
Yet it has also taught us a lot about what really matters in life, the importance of community and relationships and that we can live our lives more efficiently and less stressfully by investing in and embracing the technology which governments, schools and the non-tech private sector have largely ignored over the past 20 years.
At the core of it, however, is that the key to overcoming this pandemic is letting LOVE dictate our current actions whilst HOPING for a brighter future.

All through the lockdown, the major positive for me was that - no matter how much social distancing I had to adopt or how seldom I was able to leave the house - I always had my followers to whom I could talk, relate and spread joy.
